‘The solitude of modern life’ was phrased by Edward Hopper about living in New York City in the 1940s. The collection by Oliver Oppermann revolves around the theme of loneliness, which affects a large number of young people including himself. This loneliness is often sparked by the unrealistic virtues of today's social media landscape. Through excessive experimentation, Oppermann has succeeded in creating an aesthetic and conceptual visualization of loneliness with inspiration drawn from his own life as well as his peers. This collection sets out to highlight the importance of articulating loneliness as a widespread concept.
