On the Titanic, first-class tickets ranged from 30 pounds for a single berth to 870 pounds for a huge private parlour. This is the equivalent of $1,724 and $50,000 in present US dollars, respectively.
Second-class tickets cost roughly 12 pounds, which is around $690 in today’s money. Third-class tickets cost between 3 and 8 pounds (about $172 and $460 now, adjusted for inflation). Passengers might also pay one shilling to use the on-board pool. For a price dependent on the number of words, wireless telegrams might be sent. The ship travelled with a total of 2,207 passengers and crew members on board.
