A tribe or trip is a group of goats, according to the US Geological Survey. Animal gatherings are given strange names that differ by species.
A bunch of goats has a different proper collective noun than other animals. A drove, flock, or herd of sheep, for example, is a group of sheep. These are well-known words, however they are inappropriately ascribed to goat tribes. A prickle of porcupines, a romp of otters, a bloat of hippopotamuses, a tower of giraffes, and a shrewdness of apes are just a few of the noteworthy collective nouns for other animals.
