The Koch brothers are self-described libertarians who believe in a free market economy with no regulations. Many Catholics, including Pope Francis, have asserted that this form of extreme capitalism is incompatible with the Catholic church’s doctrines. Many people believe that the church should not accept the Koch brothers’ huge gifts in light of this.
